BLACK & BOLD is a photo series consisting of 20 limited edition black and white art pieces, shot in South Africa by Berlin based photographer Maddy Grace Oputa. The Artist captured the essence of a young, black and bold woman , shining bright in front of her lens.
This photo series does not aim to show a perfect world, but rather vulnerable moments of exposure. To her, these moments really define the strongest version of the feminine body and soul.
BLACK & BOLD is the result of an organic process between the photographer and the model and a very intimate documentation about the female body.
Maddy Grace Oputa achieves this by creating an atmosphere that allows her to come very close and get a deep connection to the true personality of a woman.

BLACK & BOLD takes the audience on an energetic journey, showing what it means to dance full out with no regards to who is watching, yet also the strength of silence and is a call to trust individual awesomeness and embrace femininity.
